At Dressage Stable Van Baalen the doors are always open for ambitious young people who are looking for an internship for their equestrian training, an address for a gap year, for a place as a working student or for those who want to work in equestrian sports.
"From Coby I learned everything. I rode stallions in the stallion competition and rode with the Young Riders. Not only did I learn riding and management at Dressuurstal Van Baalen, it shaped me into who I am today. I am very grateful to Coby for that. She was strict and sometimes even hard, but that was good. It taught you to persevere. Coby always goes for it one hundred percent and she gave that to me."
"It's really nice to see all that I've learned and experienced. I learned so much more than just riding. We always evaluated a test when it went well, but also when it didn't go well. Taking good care of your pony or horse, keeping everything clean and tidy and speaking correctly to people were also part of the job. Yet there was always time for fun. It is everything together, the total package, that makes this stable unique."
"In terms of riding, a world opened up for me at Dressuurstal Van Baalen. When I started I had just finished Z2 and could barely jump a change. I had already worked at several stables, but I was hardly ever allowed to ride there. At DVB I got the chance to do so, they give everyone the opportunity to improve their riding and there is always someone to help you. I definitely gained enough knowledge and experience there to start my own stable, although that was pretty exciting. But if I've learned anything at DVB, it's perseverance!"
