About Marlies van Baalen

Thanks to her parents’ and grandparents’ passion for horses and equestrian sports, Marlies van Baalen grew up surrounded by horses. Marlies lives with her family in the yard of Dressuurstal Van Baalen and the dressage sport is her passion and her life. Marlies is at the helm of Dressuurstal Van Baalen.

Two Olympics and five World Cup Finals

Marlies represented the Netherlands at the 2004 and 2020 Olympic Games and rode no less than nine European Championships in youth. She competes nationally and internationally and coaches several riders and amazons. “Working with humans and animals is incredibly satisfying. Getting the most out of every horse and myself is a challenge every day. While coaching I pass this on to my students.”
