What a fantastic week in Mechelen! The last race of the year! World Cup in Mechelen for Marlies and Habibi!

With a beautifully harmonious test, Habibi and Marlies danced through the Grand Prix! A nice third place and 73%!

In the freestyle, Marlies and Habibi stepped it up a notch resulting in a stunning second place with a PR of 81.160%!

To the KNHS, Marlies tells, “The crown on already a very nice year,” Marlies van Baalen tells from Mechelen. “It already went very well in the Grand Prix yesterday (third with 73.109%, ed.) so I had my sights set on a good result in the Freestyle. There was a lot of audience and a mega atmosphere in the hall. Habibi was good with me and technically it went very well. It was also really the best Freestyle we have ever ridden.”
Van Baalen finishes the year well in Mechelen. “We started the year well with the title at the NK, then a good European Championship and then now second place in Mechelen. I will ride the upcoming World Cups of Amsterdam and The Dutch Masters. Those are nice competitions to stay in rhythm and in the process we don’t have to travel too much.”
