Habibi DVB captured by the N.O.P. Foundation!

The Dutch Olympiad Horse Foundation has captured dressage horse Habibi DVB. The topper of rider Marlies van Baalen will thus be retained for TeamNL up to and including the Olympic Games in Paris.


Amazon Marlies van Baalen is the reigning Dutch champion with the impressive chestnut Habibi DVB. The 2023 combination was also a member of the Dutch team that finished fifth at the European Championships in Riesenbeck, Germany. Habibi DVB is not only co-owned by dressage stable Van Baalen, he was also born there. As Habibi DVB N.O.P., Marlies will defend the Dutch title with her trump card at the end of May.

Owners of horses laid down by the N.O.P. will receive financial compensation to keep their horses for Dutch riders. Realizing appointments with owners of top horses was made possible in part thanks to the good cooperation with sports umbrella NOC*NSF.
